Welcome to the home of Letchworth Garden City Angling Association Ltd. The association was founded by a group of likeminded local fishing enthusiasts back in 1952. Our main waters are Poppy Hill Lakes (sometimes referred to as Henlow Grange) located in Henlow Bedfordshire, which the club had the foresight to purchase back in the 70’s. We also lease stretches of rivers and other still-waters where possible to keep our portfolio varied and appealing to everyone.

The associations ethos has always been to offer angling to all disciplines, we are not a carp syndicate nor are we solely a group of match fishermen (although we do have a busy match section). All our waters are mixed fisheries offering something for everyone, from a summers evening fishing for Tench on the wagler, to a day on the feeder after the Bream or maybe a few nights out in the bivvy after some of the carp is your bag.

We have a committee of volunteers who meet regularly to run association business, and the fisheries management team who carry out the maintenance. Volunteers are always welcome to join in with the organised workparties.

More information on our individual waters can be found under the relevant pages
