Those who have attended the work parties this season we thank you for all your hard work. You will be able to fish Poppy Hill from the 31st May with the usual start of season BBQ taking place on Saturday 2nd June.

Book prices will mainly remain the same with a reduction on the Junior ticket.

Man & Wife - £150

Family (Man & Wife + 2 Juniors) - £210

As many of you will already be aware from our previous posts earlier in the year the Green Lagoon and Kempston will not be a part of this seasons ticket. As explained at the AGM this was a sad but necessary decision that the club has had to take.

Yet again that time of year is approaching. This year rather than the usual 2 months of continuous Sundays during April and May, the Committee have decided to spread the work through the season in the hope that more of our members might be able to join in, and more importantly Poppy Hill gets attention throughout the year. As always there is much work to carry out and without help from the membership little can be achieved.

Starting this coming Sunday, below are the first set of dates we will be meeting with more dates to be published later in the year.

Sunday 25th February

Sunday 18th March

Sunday 15th April

Sunday 29th April

Sunday 20th May

Sunday 27th May

The format will be the same as previous years, meeting at 8:45 in the car park at Poppy Hill and working till we’ve had enough. Tea and Coffee’s will be available with bacon rolls for sale halfway through the day.

Please bring suitable footwear and clothing for working in.

There will be jobs for all abilities and no pressure to stay all day, every little helps.

The angling association’s Officers and Committee members have reluctantly decided to terminate the lease agreement at the Green Lagoon, Arlesey.
The current fishing lease expires on the 25/03/18 and LGCAA members will not be entitled to fish this water beyond that date.
